Cycle Brighton can support a range of South Downs Way challenges depending on the riding abilities of your Group. Our one day ride from Devil’s Dyke (near Brighton) to Eastbourne is our most popular challenge.
Cycle Brighton can deliver and/or collect the bikes to the start and/or end of the ride, provide route directions and give breakdown support during the ride.
Starting at Devil’s Dyke on the outskirts of Brighton you ride eastwards along wide undulating grassy or flint tracks on chalk downlands before descending into Eastbourne.
Along the way you will encounter and delight in a range of different landmarks and fauna including; Devil’s Dyke, Ditchling Beacon, some neolithic, bronze and iron age monuments, the Long Man of Wilmington, the Ouse valley and a wide variety of arable plants, chalk grassland and flowers.
Arriving at Eastbourne, celebrate at the local pub before being transported back to Brighton.
