This tour is a great introduction to riding on the South Downs. Cycle up to the famous Devil’s Dyke landmark then heading east across the rolling hills before descending back into the city.

The tour starts at Cycle Brighton’s Hire Centre next to Hove Station and winds its way up to Devil’s Dyke visitor attraction that offers stunning panoramas of the South Downs National Park. The route then follows the South Downs Way to Saddlescombe Farm before joining the Sussex Border Path back towards Brighton and back to Hove Station. The routes is approximately 13 miles and consists an initial challenging climb to Devils Dyke then moderate climbs & descents mostly on off road trails.
